Julianne Huang

I am Julianne Huang (b.1987), a multi-media artist from Van Nuys California, who uses different mediums including painting, photography, 3D printing, embroidery, and digital drawings and collages. I explored textures and found materials to add different effects, depths, dimensions, and sensations to my artwork, blurring the lines of what is real or not. I often like to explore new materials, with the pandemic pushing me to try new digital mediums, tools, and apps. My work features bold, bright color palettes to showcase the overarching feeling of joy that art brings me, with a focus on scenery, flowers, and animals.

I work daily, in-person and from home, with Momentum Creative Studios, where I have been an artist for 18 years. At the Studios I also work as a mentor for other artists, often giving demonstrations on different art techniques to help them learn new skills. For me, art is my sight, feelings, and voice. It is my lifesaver, my air to get me through the rough times I have been through in my life.

I have been in several group exhibitions including The Space Between Us with Momentum Studios in Santa Monica (2023), Journey Onward with Momentum Studios in Chatsworth (2023), and Cordially Invited to Make Studio in Baltimore (2022). I was also a Monday Muse through Art et al. in 2022.
