Chuck Nagle
Chuck Nagle is an accomplished artist with a wide array of art practices in a variety of media. A veteran of Creative Growth in Oakland, Nagle draws, paints, sculpts in ceramics, and designs intricate works of fiber art. Pumpkins, bats, submarines, cars, and strange coiled ceramic forms that resemble people and sometimes towering termite mounds populate Nagle’s psychedelic world that’s surreal, yet inviting and playful, like a visual equivalent of the music of his favorite band, The Beatles. The incorporation of yarn and weaving into his practice feels entirely natural given his love of texture and color. There is a high demand for Nagle’s embroidery work on purses and jackets, further proving that he is a master of all trades.
Chuck Nagle was born in California and has been making art since 1990.
