Mystine Murphy

Mystine Murphy infuses her artwork with great energy and enthusiasm. Murphy is always in motion and makes short marks in quick succession, beginning with the outer areas of her workspace. Her artwork is very colorful and abstract, most often with compelling ratios of positive to negative space. Murphy favors drawing, usually selecting colored pencils or markers. She loves working with her hands and is extremely tactile; if she is not engaged in making art, she is likely to be lacing strings or exploring anything else that she can pick-up. Likewise, Murphy loves to engage others and will take regular walks throughout her space to see what other artists are doing. The energy of her physical movement and expressive personality translates effortlessly into her bold drawings.
