The Space Between Us is an exploration of drawing in all forms and the personal process that comprises a finished piece of artwork—from inspiration to interpretation.
As a celebration of the impulse which drives an artist to begin a drawing and follow their muse—wherever it may lead–this exhibition is also a survey of new work from artists across all Momentum Programs and Studios. Through each piece, the intangible becomes tangible as visible lines, figures, marks, colors, and impressions record unique perspectives. Diverse style and vision are juxtaposed in an elegant and ebullient salon installation, creating connections across geography and experience. The culmination of collective energy in The Space Between Us represents where we are at this time, as individuals and as members of a greater artistic community. Steady, yet always moving and changing—we emerge from transitions, personal and shared, with strength, power, and exuberance.
